About Salter Path, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Salter Path, North Carolina is a Carteret County unincorporated area. This area is located near Indian Beach on the Bogue Banks and is known as a Crystal Coast community. Many residents moved to the area due to a decline in the whaling industry in the mid-to-late 1800s. Recent studies have also found that Salter Path served as frequent refuge for Blackbeard, the notorious pirate.

Located at the narrowest part of the Bogue Banks, Salter Path offers visitors and residents easy access to both the sound and the beach for recreation. Other attractions are also available, including Professor Hacker’s Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway, which is a popular destination for families with children. The OC Spa offers rest and relaxation, with a wealth of great services available. There are also some restaurants found in the community, including Smith Homer Seafood and the Big Oak Drive In & Bar-B-Que.

When residing in Salter Path, you’ll need to have access to both home cooling and heating systems. During the winter months, either a furnace or heat pump is a necessity, although you won’t need to run it for too long. The season tends to be short and mild when compared to other places in the U.S., although nighttime lows often fall below freezing. An HVAC professional can give your heating system a tune up to make sure it is functioning properly, lowering your utility costs in the process.

During the summer, climate controls tend to be more important. Temperatures are hot, and high humidity can lead to heat indices in the 90s or triple digits. Muggy air moves into the area from the Atlantic, so a reliable air conditioner is a necessity. Severe thunderstorms are also common during the summer, so you’ll need to have the right cooling systems to stay safe while stuck indoors.
